We use only the finest sugar-free and sucrose-free Belgian couverture chocolate in our chocolate bars. This imported chocolate is produced from high-grade cocoa beans that have been roasted in their shells to release the aromatic oils for a more complex, deeper cocoa flavour.
From the roasted beans, the chocolate is expertly crafted in the time-honoured Belgian tradition to produce the finest couverture chocolate.
The cocoa beans used in our chocolate are sourced from West Africa and are certified “sustainable”. This means that while the environment is protected, farmers earn an equitable income enabling them to provide for the basic health and education needs and well-being of their families.
Rhubee’s handmade chocolate bars are a delicious, healthy alternative to chocolate sweetened with cane sugar or sucrose. Rhubee’s sucrose-free and sugar-free chocolate is sweetened with maltitol, a sugar alcohol (a polyol) used as a sugar substitute. Some of our fillings are made using agave sugar.
Rhubee’s is a more diabetic-friendly option than chocolate sweetened with sucrose, but please check with your doctor or dietician before including maltitol or agave in your diet. This product is banting friendly.
